Call to Order
The regular meeting of the Board of Directors was held on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at Scooters, 2750 Miracle Mile, Bullhead City, AZ. The meeting was called to order at 12 p.m., by President Larry Adams.
Attendees
President Larry Adams; Secretary/Treasurer John Caponetto; Directors Shane Chester, and Chris Morgan. Absent: Directors Tonya Frederickson, Catherine Lopez-Rajaniemi, and Darryl Franklin. Guest: Julia Garringer of Mohave Electric Cooperative.
Minutes
President Adams asked everyone if they read the Newsletter. Everyone said yes. President Adams asked for a motion to approve the January Board Minutes. Director Chester made a motion to approve the January Board Minutes. Director Morgan seconded the motion. All were in favor. Motion passed.
Treasurer’s Report
President Adams asked for a motion to dispense reading of the Treasurer’s report. Director Chester made a motion to dispense reading of the Treasurer’s Report. Director Morgan seconded the motion. All were in favor. Motion passed.
New Business
President Adams told the Board that Julia Garringer of Mohave Electric Cooperative, has expressed interest in joining the Board. President Adams then appointed Ms. Garringer to be our new Board Member.
President Adams said that he would not be at tomorrow’s dinner meeting. Secretary/Treasurer Caponetto will conduct the dinner meeting in his stead.
President Adam’s informed the Board that the Registrar of Contractors last day was last Friday. President Adams thinks that the new Registrar of Contractors is Martin Quezada.
President Adams said that next month’s guest speaker will be Paul Bull of State Farm Insurance.
Question was asked as to how well is the Academy of Building Industries school is doing. Secretary/Treasurer Caponetto said they are doing very well. He also mentioned that the Legacy Foundation is going to match financially with the Academy of Building Industries school for a new addition to the school.
Adjournment
President Adams asked if anyone had anything else to discuss. He then asked for a motion to adjourn. Director Garringer made a motion to adjourn. Director Morgan seconded the motion. All were in favor. Motion passed. Meeting adjourned at 12:15 p.m.
