Call to Order
The regular meeting of the Board of Directors was held on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at Scooters, 2750 Miracle Mile, Bullhead City, AZ. The meeting was called to order at 11:50 a.m., by President Larry Adams.
Attendees
President Larry Adams, Secretary/Treasurer John Caponetto, Directors Bob King, Larry Ojeda, Tonya Frederickson, Shane Chester, and Catherine Lopez-Rajaniemi. Absent: Director Michael Andrews. Guest: James Lands and Eric of Jatcom.
Minutes
President Larry Adams asked if everyone read the Newsletter. President Larry Adams asked for a motion to approve the July Board Minutes. Director Larry Ojeda made a motion to approve the July Board Minutes. Director Bob King seconded the motion. All were in favor. Motion passed.
Treasurer’s Report
President Larry Adams asked for a motion to dispense reading of the Treasurer’s Report until tomorrow night’s general/dinner meeting. Director Shane Chester made a motion to dispense reading of the Treasurer’s Report. Director Bob King seconded the motion. All were in favor. Motion passed.
Old Business
President Larry Adams said that he went to Phoenix to help celebrate the Registrars of Contractors 95th anniversary. It was very nice.
Secretary/Treasurer John Caponetto said the website is complete. Director Tonya Frederickson is the go-to-person if members have questions.
New Business
Secretary/Treasurer John Caponetto informed the Board that he would not be at the Christmas party in December. It was decided that Director Bob King would be the host for the Christmas party.
President Larry Adams said that our guest speaker for tomorrow night’s general/dinner meeting will be David Heath, who is in charge of the Boys & Girls Club. President Larry Adams said the Leo Biasiucci will be next month’s guest speaker. He hoped to have someone from the new Animal Shelter to be a guest speaker in the future. Director Catherine Lopez-Rajaniemi asked if we could have someone from the Academy of Building Industries school as a guest speaker.
President Larry Adams said that Mohave County has listed Air B&Bs as commercial property instead of residential property.
Adjournment
President Larry Adams asked if anyone had anything else to discuss. He then asked for a motion to adjourn. Director Bob King made a motion to adjourn. Secretary/Treasurer John Caponetto seconded the motion. All were in favor. Motion passed. Meeting adjourned at 12:00 p.m.
