President Rick Bastyr

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. The Christmas season can officially begin. I don’t care what the stores say, Christmas season does not start before Halloween. One of the things associated with the Christmas season, besides cookies, presents, decorations and kids asking for everything they see, are the parties. The Contractors Association’s party is on Wednesday December 9th at 6pm at Chaparral Country Club.

We will be having a special Prime Rib dinner, a DJ, and of course gifts. We have received some donations for the drawings. If your company would like to bring a gift for the drawing, it would be greatly appreciated. And of course, there will be a little cash being passed around throughout the night. So don’t be late, and buy plenty of 50/50 tickets. Remember, half of that goes to the AOBI. Cost for this special night is $20 per person and we encourage you to bring your employees for a night of entertainment and gifts. The more the merrier. See what I did there, merrier… Merry Christmas, get it? I crack me up.

The Home show will be held on March 26-27, 2016. We need volunteers to help out over those two days. We will have shifts in 2 hour increments. Everyone can set aside at least 2 hours to help with this very successful project.
We are looking at expanding our space and bringing in new attractions. If you have any ideas please let a board member know. We need some fresh ideas. Maybe some demonstrations or informational items. Put your thinking caps on and let us know your ideas.

That’s all for now. I look forward to seeing all of you and your employees. Don’t forget to RSVP to get a chance to win next months dinner for free.
