These last couple of months have flown by. As we come to the end of another year, it amazes me what we went through in the past 12 months. From our first Home Show to section 12 to building code changes at the county level. It seemed every time we turned around there was a new dilemma. And when things seemed at their worst we managed to get through it all.
Sticking together and staying focused was our goal this year and I believe we accomplished this. As an association we showed a few government officials that we will not back down when confronted with a challenge.
Our next general meeting is on November 13 at 6:00 pm. We will not have a guest speaker, but will have a discussion about the future of the association and what you, the members, would like to see happen in the future. We need all the ideas and input we can get.
Tickets for the Christmas party will be available for purchase. The cost is $40 each. It will be held at the Riverside casino on December 13 with a wonderful meal, great music and door prizes. This is a great time to kick back and have fun with your friends and colleagues.
Also, remember to RSVP for the general dinner to receive a chance at winning a free meal at the January meeting. And bring a ream of paper for an extra 50/50 ticket.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving.
President Rick Bastyr
