President Rick Bastyr

I wanted to start off this letter with a HUGE thank you to everyone that helped put the Home & Garden Expo together last month. Considering the time frame we had I think it was an excellent show and the attendees that I spoke with at the associations booth were all very excited. The comment most given was “I got so much information and they were all so polite and helpful.” That comes from being in an organization of professionals. I hope all of our vendors received some good leads and follow up on those leads.

I would like to thank Catherine Lopez-Rajaniemi, Don Grasse and Steve Bouman for their hard work and dedication to putting together an amazing show in
the little time we had. I would also like to thank Darryl Connella for putting in the time to make sure power was in place for everyone that needed it. And to the rest of the Board of Directors and the members who supported us in our efforts to complete this task.

We have already begun planning for next years show. We have also learned of another promoter coming out of California that is trying to organize an event in Laughlin next February. DO NOT confuse this show with ours. They approached me about us not doing a show and giving them our support for their show. I told them I would bring it to the board and membership to discuss.

Board elections are just around the corner. Now is your chance to really get involved. Anyone interested in joining the board should contact me soon. All board meetings are open to all members. Just let one of us know if you would like to attend. And as always, if you have questions, concerns or suggestions feel free to call, text or e-mail me. Any of us on the Board of Directors would be more then willing to help you get the answers you are
looking for.

I look forward to seeing everyone at the dinner meeting on Wednesday April 10th at 6:30pm. Our guest speaker will be Paul Bull, President of the Chamber Board.
