At long last Bullhead City has scheduled air service to the Bullhead/Laughlin Airport.  Mr. Jeremy Keating, Manager of the Airport will be this month’s speaker at our Wednesday Night Meeting.  Make your reservations for the dinner meeting and learn more about what this means to our community.
Don’t forget next months Christmas party and the beginning of a new year.  I look forward to seeing all of you at the chaparral country club at 6pm on Wednesday November 9.

PRESIDENT’S LETTER

BOO!!
It’s that time of year again, or at least according to the calendar, its time for the ghosts & goblins to make their yearly appearance. However, if you go to your nearest retail stores it’s Christmas time. Never mind the vampires, witches or even the turkey and pumpkin pie. It’s time to get your tree, decorations and wrapping paper. I swear it gets earlier and earlier every year. What ever happened to enjoying each holiday in its entirety? The year goes fast enough the way it is, let’s not fast forward it.We here in the Mohave Valley Contractors Association have our own seasons as well. This month is our big membership drive. Bring in as many paid new memberships to be eligible to win a free years membership. This is the time to bring your sub contractors in to show them what the association is all about and why it is beneficial for them to join. Our next season will be our annual Christmas party. It is by far our most popular dinner meeting of the year. Great food, good friends and a few presents. It’s a good time for everyone to catch up and have some fun. Last years party was very successful and this years will be even better.

Our next big season after that will be our home show.  This year marks our 5th anniversary and is a huge milestone for us. Every year the show has grown and this year is no different. I am already receiving emails and phone calls asking about dates. We still have lots of planning to do, so if you have any suggestions please let us know. We want this to be the best show ever.

The next season after that will be our election season. That is where a new president will be elected. So get your nominations in.

This months speakers will be John Caponetto, Secretary for the Association. Darlene Hiltner, Director of Community Financial Wellness, who teaches the Entrepreneurship Class at AOBI and representatives of the AOBI Student Council. John will give an informative recollection of the history of our association. The Student Council members will describe the Charter school that the Contractors Association built. This will give our new members a chance to learn what the association is and does.

We are all looking forward to a full house with new & old members enjoying a great meal and good company. We’ll see you at 6pm on Wednesday October 12th.

So in the spirit of the season Merry Christmas or Happy 4th of July or happy Labor Day or what ever the holiday of choice is for the retailers.
